Vinnie

When I was growing up, I had a lot of pets. Many of my pets were neighborhood strays that just appeared one day and decided to stick around. Over the years, I had several dogs – all of them were incredible companions to my family. I suppose this was the foundation for my present love of dogs. In the mid 80s, the television series Magnum P.I. featured two beautiful Doberman Pinschers named Apollo & Zeus (AKA The Lads). The antics of The Lads sparked my interest in the Doberman breed. In recent years, I’ve had several Doberman Pinschers. Most of them came from an animal rescue near my home. Contrary to an inaccurate Hollywood typecast, Doberman Pinschers are not aggressive or prone to attack. Instead, Doberman Pinschers are kind, playful, intelligent, and people-oriented.

This is an image of Vinnie. He’s a Doberman that I adopted from the Doberman Pinscher & Little Paws Animal Rescue in Fillmore, CA. He’s an awesome addition to my home and has so much warmth and character! Many animals, like Vinnie, are simply abandoned or dumped at animal shelters when their owners no longer want them (or can no longer care for them). Sadly, some animals have experienced brutal cruelty by their former owners. If you’re considering a pet, please check with local animal rescues in your area. There are so many wonderful animals desperately waiting for a good home. If you’re not able to adopt but want to help, there are ways for you to get involved. Most animal shelters have a need for volunteers (walking animals, cleaning kennels, etc.) and an even greater need of financial support. Your involvement matters and can make a major difference in the life of an innocent animal. Please get involved today!
