About

I create images because I love to do it. I simply love to do it. In fact, I’m hopelessly compelled. For me, photography is a liberating addiction. At this point, I work primarily on self-interest projects and I’ve been fortunate enough to have some of my images published in books, featured on websites and used in corporate marketing material.

I have minor OCD and often complicate my life with manic multi-tasking and heavy doses of caffeine. I’m a combat veteran – fiercely patriotic – and had the distinct pleasure of serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. Sometimes my sense of humor pushes the boundaries of common sense. I’m enamored with technology and have spent many years in the field of corporate Information Technology. Along the way, photography has helped me understand and express who I am and how I see the world.

Being a portrait photographer has taught me a lot about people, frailty and trust. Without a doubt, it takes a lot of trust to sit in front of photographer’s lens. When someone is having his/her portrait taken, there’s a lot of unspoken vulnerability involved. I understand and respect this vulnerability.

Over the years, I’ve been blessed by many long-term, meaningful relationships. Each of these relationships has had a very positive impact upon me. My wife has been a constant inspiration and encouragement. I’m thankful for her in ways I cannot express. I’ve also had the good fortune of being surrounded by some of the most supportive & creative people (Kathy Fitzpatrick, Keith Pytlinski, Becky Sehenuk and Bob Abel). Without them, I may have quit long ago.
